Are you the type of person who loves helping others and has a curious mind for how tech works, especially phones and internet? Gamma i on the lookout for an apprentice Technical Support Technician to become the go-to expert for solving tech issues for their business partners, building up valuable tech skills along the way. 

 

Main purpose of role: 

 

Your role will be to handle Gamma’s phone and internet products, and to provide support when Gamma’s business partners have queries or technical issues with them, this could be anything from phone line faults to helping set up the technology. You will communicate with partners through different methods including calls, emails and webchats, becoming experts across these channels to deliver quick and effective support. 

 

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

You will be taught everything you need to know, especially the technical knowledge, however, as an apprentice, you can expect to:   

 

  • Build your technical understanding of Gamma’s phone and internet systems work.  

  • Learn how Gamma work with other companies to set up internet connections and phone numbers for their partners. 

  • Meet Gamma’s standards of quality work and service. 

  • Take ownership of your tasks and manage your workload while focusing on providing excellent support services. 

  • Working closely with your team members, team leaders, and more experienced colleagues to learn and get things done together.

  • Can collaborate effectively in a team environment 

  • Has excellent time management that allows you to multi-task 

  • Has a willingness to learn and adapt to new issues 

  • Has a strong worth ethic 

 

To be successful in this role, you do not need any formal qualifications or experience.    

 

 

Skills you will gain:  

 

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a diverse set of skills, including: 

 

  • Becoming an expert in Gamma products and systems to know how to resolve them. 

  • How to escalate issues or help resolve more complex setup problems or faults with guidance. 

  • The ability to be adaptable and learn new things as your team supports new products and ways of working.  

  • How you can contribute to improving the services Gamma provide and the processes they use as you develop in your role.
