  • We're looking for an energetic, outgoing, growth-driven Business Development Manager to grow our client base, win new accounts, and take our award-winning SME recruitment agency to the next level. 

Role: Business Development Manager  

  • Company: Sanctuary Grads & Apprentices – The Early Careers Recruitment and Diversity Experts 

  • Location: Remote or Hybrid (Norwich office) 

  • Package: 

  • Salary: £35k - £45k (depending on experience) 

  • Y1 OTE £60k - £70k

  • We are the early careers and diversity recruitment experts - we help 100s of employers reach, attract and recruit the best graduates, interns and apprentices across all sectors.  

  • We have built student networks and university & school partnerships to deliver businesses the early careers talent they need with our suite of services including RPO, Diversity Events, Campus Brand Ambassadors and Targeted Emailing.  

  • Partnered with the Sutton Trust, we are passionate about, and thought leaders in, diversity within Early Careers. 

  • We are a rapidly growing scale-up business with an impressive array of happy, long-term clients including KPMG, ghd, Müller, Stagecoach, Markel Insurance, Baillie Gifford, Kenco and many more.  

  • We are looking for a to further embed in the market our brand equity and thought leadership on all things early careers and diversity.  

Key responsibilities 

  • Delivering Growth: Reporting to our Head of Growth, the role is all about identifying firms who might be interested in our services and setting up meetings with the key stakeholders, managing the end-to-end of the partnering process.  

  • Strategy & Ideation 

  • With the support of the growth team, you will identify the key people at target businesses who would be interested in our suite of services 

  • You will then determine an outreach strategy with dovetails with our existing content and digital marketing strategy 

  • You will then execute the strategy with the support of our Marketing Executive.  

  • Outbound Execution, not limited to… 

  • Warm and cold calls (you must be very comfortable doing that as a large part of our strategy – proven to be best way of generating revenue in our field) 

  • Email and LinkedIn approaches to the target demographic with a view to booking meetings  

  • Leveraging our existing digital marketing strategy, with the support of our Marketing Executive, to provide sector specific content to target businesses which yield inbound leads to convert into partnership 

  • Attending industry events and other networking opportunities 

  • Sales Cycle Delivery 

  • With support from our delivery experts, managing the sales cycle from first meeting to partnership from when our delivery teams take over the relationship, working with Ops to facilitate account growth/renewals 

Person Specification 

  • Proven sales acumen and consistent results 

  • Motivated and driven individuals with a flair for sales; 

  • Dynamic individuals with an entrepreneurial, self-starter approach; and 

  • Positive and engaging telephone manner. 

  • Ideally a passion for and knowledge of Early Careers and Diversity with a strong network in the Early Careers/Talent Acquisition market 

  • A native sense of what the interests and challenges are of Early Careers and DE&I professionals in order to meet their needs with our suite of services 

  • A passion for client service – aligned with our “personal touch” approach which delivers outstanding client experience
