Job Title: Degree Apprentice - Commercial Department

Location: Falkirk, Scotland

Reports To: Commercial Manager

Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated Degree Apprentice to join our Commercial Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a degree. The apprentice will support the Commercial Manager and collaborate closely with Surveying Managers on various commercial tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

• Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.
• Support the surveying team in conducting site visits and assessments.
• Help with the procurement of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
• Participate in contract administration and management, including reviewing and negotiating terms.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
• Assist in the analysis of project performance and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

• Attend university on a day-release basis while completing the apprenticeship.

   

   

   

Requirements:

 

 

• You must have a Full Right to Work in the UK.
• Currently enrolled in or eligible to enrol in a relevant degree program (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Keen interest in the construction industry and commercial management.
