Müller are looking for enthusiastic second year students to join their 13-month industrial placement scheme in July 2025.  There are a range of opportunities available, please note that you can express an interest in multiple roles and your preferences will be noted at the interview stage.

What are the roles? 

Müller is offering a 13-month for ambitious students who want to gain hands-on experience in both supply chain planning and international customer operations. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to spend the first six months in either our Milk Supply Planning or Ingredients Customer Operations team, and the following six months with Philpot Dairy Products. All roles operate on a hybrid basis, and while based out of our Market Drayton office, some travel to Müller sites and customer locations will be required.  

 

First 6 Months:  

Option 1:

  • Milk Supply Planning Join the team responsible for managing the delivery of raw milk and bulk products to nine Müller sites across the UK. You will work closely with external customers and suppliers to balance milk supply, ensuring dairies’ demand is met efficiently while minimising costs. This role requires keen attention to detail, financial awareness, and strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders 

 

In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience in logistics and supply chain management, while building essential skills that can be applied to many career paths.  

Or 

Options 2 - Ingredients Customer Operations Executive

  • This team is responsible for managing orders and delivery of ingredients such as butter, milk powder, cream and buttermilk. You’ll work closely with customers and internal departments to ensure that products are delivered in full and on time. This role offers great exposure to the end-to-end operations process, from order entry to logistics and export documentation. 

 

Second 6 months: 

Philpot Dairy Products - Export Administration Executive

  • Philpot Dairy Products is Müller’s international trading arm, sourcing dairy products from European processors and exporting them to B2B food businesses across Central and South American, North Africa, and Asia. You’ll support the commercial team with market analysis, business planning, and key growth projects.  

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Conduct market analysis for specific products or export destination 

  • Perform data research and analysis on supply-demand dynamics and compiling detailed reports 

  • Conduct interviews with prospective customers, industry bodies and trade association 

  • Support business planning and contribute to growth initiatives  

  • Work alongside other placement students on a group project, enhancing teamwork and problem-solving skills. 

  • Communicate daily with external companies to negotiate transport savings.

Who can apply? 

  • UK Driving License: Must hold a UK driving licence for at least one year.

  • Right to work: You must have a full Right to Work in the UK. 

  • Please note you must be fluent in French or Spanish to be eligible for this role. 

  • You must be on track to receive a 2:2 or above in a degree or equivalent qualification.  

  • You can be studying towards any degree to be eligible for this role. It is also recommended if you are undertaking a degree in Business, Business Management, French or Spanish Languages degree, International Business. Please note this is desirable but not essential. 

  • You must be in your second year of study and due to undertake a Placement/Sandwich year as part of your course. 

  • Organisational skills: Effective time management and high attention to detail.
