Sanctuary Graduates are delighted to be working in partnership with Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE), home to some of the most well-known coffee brands in the world, to offer a fantastic finance intern position within their manufacturing function.
To date, JDE’s coffee and tea portfolio is available in over 140 countries and includes iconic household names such as Kenco, L’Or, Tassimo and Douwe Egberts. They have built the business on the belief that everyone deserves the coffee they love – no matter who you are, where you live or how you take it.
As finance intern, you will be part of a team which forms part of the wider manufacturing site. You will report into the Overheads Controller and work cross-functionally with other associates to deliver financial support and focus to the site.
You will gain insight into all areas of the finance team including overheads, packing and process, and support with variance analysis, reporting against budget, KPI’s and internal controls.
Supporting the preparation of weekly material loss analysis within the packing section, you will calculate actual variances vs target, analyse material stock adjustments and provide insight into shrinkage losses within the section.
Supporting the preparation of monthly Profit & Loss and Balance sheet within your cost areas, ensuring the financials are understood and in line with expectations.
Ensuring compliance with relevant internal controls including fixed asset physical verification and activation.
Analysing and communicating weekly manufacturing volumes vs budget/forecast and the financial impact to the site.
Attending regular training sessions including Coffee Basics and financial training to help build knowledge and understanding of the inner working of the factory and the wider finance function.

It goes without saying that you will get excellent coffee day-in/day-out, however, if this isn’t enough alone to entice you, you will also receive:
Starting salary of £23,350.
£1,500 signing on bonus – paid in week one.
