Pathways to Planning is a graduate scheme for individuals from any degree background to become Planners in local government.
Planning is the process of envisioning, guiding, and regulating the use of land and resources to achieve sustainable development. Pathways Graduate Planners will work full-time in a local council planning team from day one, learning on the job through varied work experience and with a dedicated mentor.
You will be supported through an introduction to planning course, once you have settled into your role, you will begin a part-time, fully funded master’s degree in Planning.
Over 2-3 years of study, graduates will be able to fast track their accreditation as professional planners: a highly in-demand role with excellent progression opportunities.
Open to graduates from all degree backgrounds
2.1 undergraduate degree by Summer 2025 required (graduation does not need to be recent)
Those with the right to work in the UK (until at least September 2028)
