Are you looking for a role in FMCG and retail that will get you out of bed in the morning? Sanctuary Graduates are delighted to be working in partnership with Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE), home to some of the most well-known coffee brands in the world, to offer a fantastic finance intern position within their manufacturing function.

About the Role 

Across your placement you will have the opportunity to work on multiple improvement projects with various departments to make JDE Packing a more efficient, cost-effective and safe workplace. You will work alongside production engineers to learn the skills needed to manage projects, trials and small installations, while leading their own projects. Responsibilities also include daily tracking of key production data to identify opportunities for improvement, allowing opportunity for project scoping and the creation of standards. In daily work and project delivery it will be key to drive safety, and quality, and to apply continuous improvement methods. The role requires someone who can build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse team.  

  • Learn how to plan, budget, organise and direct tasks, people and resources. 

  • Use data analysis software such as Minitab and Waterfall to analyse and assess projects and processes. 

  • To be able to present and discuss effectively with people in various roles. Demonstrating personal and social skills. 

  • Engage in the creative and innovative development of engineering technology using continuous improvement systems. 

  • Maintain high safety standards on site by improving standards and opening/closing out safety actions. 

  • Hands on experience in production with day-to-day issues to solve online. 

  • Exercise responsibilities in a safe and ethical manner.

What You Will Get In Return 

It goes without saying that you will get excellent coffee day-in/day-out, however, if this isn’t enough alone to entice you, you will also receive: 

 

  • Starting salary of £23,350. 

  • £1,500 signing on bonus – paid in week one. 

  • 25 days annual leave, plus statutory holidays. 

  • Company pension scheme.
