Who Are The Risk & ComplianceTeam?

The Risk & Compliance team plays a central role in ensuring the business operates within a robust control framework. The team works across the organisation to: 

  • Maintain and enhance risk and control frameworks 
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, and compliance risks 
  • Support risk assessments, reporting, and oversight 
  • Provide insight to management to support informed decision-making 

     

This creates a highly collaborative environment with exposure across multiple areas of the business.

 

What Is The Role?

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Risk & Compliance Intern to join our Risk & Compliance team. 

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in how organisations identify, assess, and manage risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements within a global (re)insurance business. 

During your internship, you will work alongside risk and compliance professionals, supporting a range of activities across enterprise risk management and compliance oversight. You will gain insight into how firms manage risk frameworks, monitor controls, and respond to regulatory expectations. 

By the end of your placement, you will have developed a strong understanding of how risk and compliance frameworks support business performance, decision-making, and regulatory adherence.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of risk and control frameworks 
  • Assisting with the identification and documentation of risks and controls 
  • Maintaining and updating risk registers and data 
  • Supporting Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and related analysis 
  • Assisting in the investigation and tracking of risk events and actions 
  • Supporting risk reporting and data analysis 
  • Assisting with compliance monitoring activities and regulatory tracking 
  • Supporting the maintenance of policies, procedures, and documentation 
  • Assisting with training, workshops, and awareness activities across risk and compliance 
  • Providing general coordination and administrative support to the team
