They are a recognized leader in achieving merger and acquisition transactions for distressed companies.
They employ an interdisciplinary approach to engagements and are accustomed to evaluating complex, highly leveraged situations in short timeframes.
Our client is looking for a Summer Research Intern in their London office.
You will work specifically with the financial restructuring group, assisting with a variety of transactions, including creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A.
You will have the unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.
You will help advise companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and in-court restructurings.
You will participate in supporting complex negotiations on behalf of their clients.
You will support in providing distressed M&A advisory services and help support in complex negotiations on behalf of their clients.
You will receive a salary of £40,000 (pro-rata for the 10-week period).
You will be provided with a bursary of £1K (£500 to be paid upon signing of your contract and £500 upon starting in the role).
Potential to be fast tracked to the interview stage for their 2026 Summer Analyst Programme.
You will receive comprehensive mentoring, training and exposure.
You must be in the first year of your undergraduate degree and expected to graduate in 2027 from a finance-related degree.
Must have studied at state school and had free school meals or your parent’s highest qualification is below degree level to be eligible for this role.
Available for the full duration of the internship programme (16th June – 22nd August) in London.
You are a top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured, performance based environment.
You have a strong mathematical educational background achieving an A or above at Mathematics A-Level.
You have a demonstrable interest in restructuring.
You have a basic understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications.
You must have strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You have an understanding of LBO and DCF modelling methodologies.
No professional experience needed as you be taught in the role.
