The Velonetic Graduate Programme

Kickstart your career with a permanent role from day one on our two-year Graduate Programme. You’ll gain hands-on experience through rotations in your chosen business area and complete a three-month secondment in a different part of the business to broaden your perspective.

We’ll support you in achieving relevant professional qualifications, starting with the CII Certificate in Insurance in your first year, and pair you with a senior sponsor to guide your development. You’ll also have a buddy to help you settle in and connect with our vibrant Early Careers community.

The role

In this role, you will be part of the Velonetic Technology team and help shape the future of our organisation. From system development and infrastructure management to cybersecurity, data analysis, and tech innovation, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency and enabling success. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.

You’ll split your time between five key areas: Architecture, Project Management Office (PMO), Programme & Project Management, Security & Resilience, and Technology Delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll rotate between the Velonetic Technology departments, spending a minimum of 3 months with each team

  • Within the PMO, you’ll learn what Governance is and why it’s required. You’ll be introduced to 1st line risk, learning how to document and record mitigating actions

  • In Programme and Project Management, you will help deliver change to the London Insurance Market, working closely with internal and market representatives and customers

  • Moving into Security & Resilience, you’ll help protect Velonetic from the ever-increasing Cyber threats and develop skills in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity

  • You’ll gain insights into our Technology Delivery strategy when working in the Production support team.  This is where change is governed through to Production Run, and you’ll help lead Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management

  • Entering Architecture, you will be assisting with the Technology roadmap, working across the business to understand requirements for optimisation, automation and the introduction of A.I.

To succeed in this role you will:

  • Have achieved (or be on track to achieve) a 2:1 degree in any discipline

  • Be interested in technology and curious to learn more

  • Be an excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
